HwaRoRo Korean Grill Buffet Restaurant Review

HwaRoRo Korean Grill BuffetHwaRoRo Korean Grill Buffet & Restaurant is a hidden gem in Quezon City. This restaurant does not have a fancy storefront and interiors are simple. The food is great though and the price is even better! Its only Php 399 on dinner and weekends while only Php 349 on Mon-Thur lunches. That price for full authentic Korean grill buffet is pretty amazing.

We went here on the recommendation of a friend and wasn’t disappointed. Its located at Scout Tobias, Quezon City and just across Puregold Jr. Supermarket. Looking at it from the outside, its got huge signage but otherwise the place is simple.

Hwaroro Quezon City

Hwaroro Korean Grill AddressThe inside is simple and actually has weak air-conditioning. It seems like an old house renovated into a restaurant. The buffet area is on the 2nd floor as there is some ala carte dining on the first floor. There are also private rooms available if you want to have your own private party.

Hwaroro RestaurantThere are limited choices of meat for grilling only so while the choices are not much, they do taste very well. Beef and pork options available. So if variety is what you are looking for, its not much. But if quality is more important than quantity, then you will be satisfied.

HwaroroThere are appetizers and hot dishes too that serves some very good bulgogi and korean ribs. Again the choices are not much but they are well flavored. It should be noted also that this is an authentic Korean place where the Korean owner is there managing the place herself. She doesn’t talk English much if at all but she is very friendly and so is the staff.

Hwaroro BulgogiThis Korean Egg Roll is also very good and one of my favorites there. Its simple and goes well with a heap of grilled marbled meats, lettuce and a small amount of rice.

Korean Egg RollThey also serve Korean Soju so while I am not an alcoholic drinker, this is a welcome option for those that do as their pricing is not expensive. Sorry I forgot to ask for the price but its more or less around Php 50 per bottle and that is very reasonable already. Not a bad place to have Korean Soju in Manila.

Korean Soju in ManilaOverall, I would recommend HwaRoRo Korean Grill Buffet and Restaurant for quick fixes of a good grill buffet dinner without the frills. It’s honest food at a very affordable price. Oh yes, please do bring cash as they do not have credit card terminals.
